What we keep about you
Almost nothing — and we would rather explain exactly what that means than say "we value your privacy" and leave it there.
We do not run accounts. There is no sign-up, no password, and no profile. We cannot read your journal, your prayer list, or how far through the plan you are, because none of it reaches us.
What stays on your device
Your journal entries, prayer list, completed days, reminder time, and the readings you have received are stored by your own browser, on your own device. They are not uploaded anywhere. If you clear your browser data or uninstall the app, they are gone — which is why the app offers an Export file you can keep yourself.
One consequence worth knowing: anyone with access to your unlocked device can open the app and read what you have written. If you share a phone or computer, keep that in mind before writing something sensitive.
What we receive when you subscribe
- Payment is handled entirely by Gumroad. Your card details never touch this app or our servers. Gumroad is the merchant of record and keeps its own records under its own privacy policy.
- Your licence key is sent to our licence service each time the app checks your subscription. We use it to ask Gumroad whether the subscription is active, and to work out which season you may read. We do not store the key, your name, or your email address.
- We keep no mailing list. Emails you receive about your subscription — receipts, renewal notices, failed payments — come from Gumroad, not from us.
What we do not do
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, and no cookies of our own.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of anything about you. There is nothing to sell.
- No profiling of your reading, your journal, or your struggles.
Other companies involved
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces this app uses. Loading them tells Google your IP address and rough location, as any website font does. This is the one unavoidable third-party contact when you open the app.
- Cloudflare hosts our licence service and, like any web host, keeps short-lived technical logs of requests.
- BibleGateway and Bible Hub are external sites we link to so you can read the full passage or check the original languages. Following a link takes you to them, under their own policies. We link out rather than copy their material.
Children
This app is written for adults and older teenagers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — but a subscription should be set up by an adult.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal records, there is little to request access to or delete. If you want your Gumroad purchase record removed, contact Gumroad directly, or write to us and we will help. To remove everything the app has stored about you, clear the site data in your browser or uninstall the app.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we hold, we will change the date at the top and say plainly what changed. If we ever begin storing personal information, we will say so here first.
